Determinants of Intensity of Adoption of Climate Change Adaptation Practices in the Agriculture Sector in Nepal

Climate change has been noticed in the agricultural sector of Nepal which calls for strategies adaptation and resilience building. We assessed influence demographic, institutional factors, farm characteristics on adoption twenty climate practices. used impact survey data 800 households Province 1 analyzed using Poisson regression corrected overdispersion Negative Binomial regression. The results revealed that operational size landholding, years experience farming formal education household head, association members cooperatives community-based organizations, occurrence disasters last five years, male-headed households, receiving remittance influenced a package practices agriculture Nepal. imply policies should be geared towards enhancing capacity farmers through skill training, strengthening social networks, increasing investment generation dissemination climate-resilient technologies practices, implementing additional off-farm on-farm activities to increase income, improving access physical resources, education, information female-headed households.
